Overview: Participants will learn how to bake, smooth frost & ombre smooth frost a 5″  Red Velvet Speculoos Fudge Cake  using Vanilla Buttercream and Swiss Meringue Buttercream and apply ganache drizzle on a cake. 

 

Class content

Demonstration:

  • Introduction to ingredients
  • A step by step demonstration on how to bake Red Velvet sponge cake layers
  • A step by step demonstration on how to prepare Vanilla Cream Cheese
  • A step by step demonstration on how to prepare Swiss Meringue Buttercream (SMBC)

 

Hands on:

(instructor will first do a basic demo followed by hands on session with instructor supervision)

  • A step by step demonstration on how to assemble Red Velvet sponge cake layers
  • A step by step demonstration on how to fill cake layers with Speculoos Butter & Vanilla Cream Cheese
  • A step by step demonstration on how to smooth frost a cake
  • A step by step demonstration on how to ombre smooth frost a cake
  • Basic demonstration on how to dye SMBC
